We are only one block from King Street with boutiques, restaurants, bars, spas and bookshops, and Marion Square Saturday Market.

And we are part of the popular St Philip Square. We can accommodate wedding groups, family reunions or corporate retreats with space for 2-72 people.

•PEACH HOUSE is a Carolopolis Award winning property built in the late 1800's and renovated by the present owner in 1996. It has just gone through another complete renovation with all new bathrooms and kitchen. Historic details have been lovingly maintained (fireplaces, woodwork, hardwood floors) but every modern convenience has been incorporated (all new appliances, kitchen, bathrooms). Professionally designed and decorated, we are proud to offer it for short term rental in the only legal short term rental area in Charleston.

•THE AREA
Within the "short term overlay," as the city has designated it, we are at the closest edge to King Street and the Calhoun Street/Broad Street historic district. Study the map carefully so you can position yourself within easy walking distance to all the good shops, restaurants and glorious Charleston historic sites. Cannonborough is a delightful neighborhood but it's nice to have access to the entire peninsula.

•THE APARTMENT

ENTRANCE
Enter through the front porch into a gracious living room with period (non-working) fireplace, flat screen tv with full range of Comcast channels, sofa bed, high ceilings, graceful bay window and pretty parquet floors.

BEDROOM 1 The double doors open to another gracious room with fireplace (non-working), Murphy queen-bed, closet, hardwood floors. These two rooms formed a typical Charleston double parlor in by-gone days. Today we have set them up as entertaining space but our flexible plan offers our guests two rooms for sleeping (the front room with a sofa sleeper and the one next to it with popular Murphy bed and double locking doors)

BATH 1 Both rooms can use the all new "Euro-style" bathroom in the hall that offers a pedestal sink, toilet and overhead or handheld shower. This bath can be used by guests using the front room sofa bed or by bedroom 1. Bedroom 1 also has access to BATHROOM 2 between bedroom 1 and bedroom 2.

BATH 2 This brand new bathroom with glass shower, hardwood floor, marble counter and stylish vanity is situated between bedroom 1 and bedroom 2.

BEDROOM 2 has a king bed, closet with storage, dressing table and direct access to bath 2. It can also be entered from the kitchen.

BEDROOM 3 is in the rear of the apartment with another king bed, dressing room with washer/dryer and closet and ensuite
BATH 3 with gorgeous, spacious glass shower and linen storage.

KITCHEN
The beautiful all new kItchen with gleaming white cabinets runs along the south side of the apartment. It features all new cabinets, all new appliances, gorgeous quartz counter, full supply of kitchen gadgets, and utensils, dishes and silverware, cookware and entertaining supplies. The attractive table can seat 6-8 people. The kitchen is a great gathering space for socializing and cooking.

The FRONT ROOM is the main socializing space with its swivel chairs, comfortable sofa, period fireplace and pretty bay-window overlooking the charming FRONT PORCH where you will enjoy your morning coffee or watch the world go by as you sip your afternoon cocktail.

•PARK AND WALK OR DRIVE TO THE ISLANDS
Bring your car and park in our private lot, but expect to leave the car and walk almost everywhere. You won't have to worry about finding parking but if you want to venture out to the islands (Folly Beach, Sullivans Island 20 minutes away) or historic plantations (Magnolia, Drayton Hall and Middleton Place) you will be happy to have your own transportation sitting next to you and the highway 17 5 minutes away.

•GROUPS
If you are planning a wedding or a group adventure, let Jamie know your needs. We can accommodate 2-72 people at St Philip Square in 2 to 5 bedroom apartments. It's the perfect place for your whole group to be together in extraordinarily comfortable, convenient and attractive accommodations.

Location

Cannonborough is a vibrant and exciting area of historic Charleston. From our apartment you can reach the Battery in 30 minutes so you can tell the entire area is relatively small and manageable. “South of Broad” is the quietest and most residential area with amazing, world famous mansions. In contrast, the Cannonborough area is full of restaurants, shops, boutiques and bars and is considered the “happening” part of town. It too has its share of important house museums (the Manigault House is a few blocks away). The famous Charleston Museum is across from the Manigault House and the very popular Children’s Museum is also in this area. Or you may pass through the College of Charleston with its Spanish-moss-draped trees a few blocks from the apartment on your stroll to the Battery.

You will love this home! The two bedrooms were comfortable! The 3rd has a Murphy bed that we didn’t use, but my husband used the large room as his office as he had to work a few days during our stay. Loved that there was a washer and dryer and had so many amenities including coffee and creamer even large bottles of shampoo/rinse and body wash!! We would definitely rent this space again!!

We just finished a weekend trip (Thursday-Sunday) in Charleston for my sisters bachelorette and this house was beyond amazing! If/when we go back to Charleston I’ll definitely be staying here again. The house was cleaner than any house I’ve ever stayed at, had more than enough amenities, and could not have been in a better location. We walked to almost everything that we did. I really could not suggest this house enough! Also, something that I never really think matters until I’m there, the beds were so comfortable there were plenty of pillows and there were more than enough towels for all of us. We had the best weekend and this house played a huge role in that!

The apartment was very well done. Super clean and organized. Had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Definately a great place to stay in downtown Charleston!
