Welcome to 178C in the Alexander Wilson House at St. Philip Square. Enjoy beautifully restored properties in the heart of historic downtown Charleston, one short block to King Street.

This apartment is located on the second floor. Enter the apartment from the second floor piazza to find a spacious great room to your left with historic features and hardwood floors.
LIVING ROOM/4TH BEDROOM
To the left are double folding doors leading to the grand living room with a classic fireplace. The room is furnished with 4 velvet swivel chairs, beautiful sofa sleeper with gel queen mattress.
In one corner, is a very clever and full bath with a marble shower. Guests can use this room as a 4th bedroom with a very secure door.
MASTER BEDROOM
Off of the dining room is cozy bedroom with a queen bed and full bathroom.
DORMER ROOMS
Between the kitchen and the living room is a spiral staircase leading to two charming dormer rooms - each with two single beds their own bathroom. These rooms have the oldest and prettiest floors of any of our properties.
The space is under the dormers so a tall person will duck if getting in and out from the sides. The middle space in front of the window is full height.
Adult Offsite Pool & Gym Access
We partner with an offsite resort called the Wonderer which is located in downtown Charleston, a short drive away. Our guests 25+ are able to visit the wonderer. There is a strict age policy, no one under 21 will be permitted (including the pool). Resort features : Olympic size pool (heated in winter) , Poolside Cabana (additional charge), Gym (classes at additional charge) , 2 bars , Restaurant , Private & Shared work space

Great setup for an adult family or group of adults. 4 bathrooms is key. We rented for CofC commencement. Highly recommend for similar group trips.

Great home to stay in, located on the second and third floors of a typical Charleston home. Plenty of bathrooms for all who stay. Also the most comfortable beds of any home I've rented. One thing to note: although the home sleeps 8, there is only one parking pass, but there is a hotel around the corner for easy protected parking.

This place was perfect for our girls weekend!! We loved the location—easy access to walk on King and convenient to hop on the freeway to the beaches. Lots of great restaurants/coffee/bars right around the corner. Would definitely recommend for a group of friends!!

Two coworkers and I rented this space for a weekend during a meeting downtown. Everything about the unit was terrific. Jamie was proactive in her communications with us. I'd rent here again.

This property is even better than the photos and even better located than you could imagine and even better managed than one would think. Jamie manages everything beautifully and is not only super helpful and responsive, but also very kind and genuine (not to mention a very hard worker). We loved having the spacious living room to lounge in and the three bedrooms each with own bath made everything feel spacious and comfortable. The two bedrooms on the top floor of the building are amazingly quaint and I slept very well there. I would stay here again for sure and would recommend it to anyone traveling to Charleston who wants a nice home base and not the hotel experience. Thank you Jamie!

Jamie and the Bennett family sure so live up to the adage of “southern hospitality.” Jamie was so helpful in planning and was sweet enough to deliver us board games to play with during our stay and a wonderful assortment of treats for Thanksgiving. The house is beautifully decorated, super comfortable and has everything you need. We will definitely come back to stay!!!
