She stands alone!
Our charming cottage allows you to have your cake and eat it too with her serene privacy and lovely enclosed courtyard (furchildren welcome), while still being a stone's throw from all the fun and play downtown Charleston has to offer.
Featuring an open-concept living and dining area, this abode feels both spacious and cozy all at once. The chef’s kitchen comes complete with new stainless steel appliances and is fully stocked should you choose to dine in or entertain at the darling bar.
Each of her three bedrooms comes with a queen bed along with a comfortable West Elm sleeper sofa should you need to rest a couple more heads.
The two bathrooms are conveniently located near the bedrooms and each comes equipped with premium linens.
As our guest, you’ll be given convenient, off-street parking and a delightfully unique space to call your own during your Charleston getaway that is mere steps away from all that historic downtown has to offer.
Amenities
Location
Nested within the vibrant Cannonborough neighborhood, St. Philip Square is a collection of 6 restored historic homes with a spacious shared courtyard that span an entire city square block of downtown Charleston.
Sitting neatly between Morris and Cannon Street, St. Philip Square is one short block from the hustle, bustle, wining and dining of Charleston’s famous King Street. Idyllically situated, we are less than half a mile to Calhoun Street and a stone’s throw from South of Broad. In short, location, location, location…
With our abodes originally dating back the early 1800s, St. Philip Square was carefully, intentionally and respectfully renovated by the end of 2020. Showing remarkable reverence for local history and devotion to the Lowcountry lifestyle, our accommodations have earned 5 coveted Carolopolis Awards from The Preservation Society and the esteemed Governor’s Award.
Acquired in the early 1990’s, St. Philip Square was grandfathered into offering permitted short-term vacation rentals by the City of Charleston. A rarity across downtown, this legacy allows our guests to experience the comfort of private luxury accommodations alongside the experience of true community immersion.
With an unprecedented walk score of 96, most guests leave their cars in our spacious, protected parking area and easily stroll down to the restaurants, bars, boutiques, galleries and more mere steps away from their suite.
Marrying new with nostalgia, ours is a uniquely Charleston experience. Explore our homes and suites or reserve your stay online today.

A wonderful location to spend family time with our adult sons. The house had everything we needed. The courtyard and parking were a bonus.

A perfect little bungalow within walking distance of restaurants, bars, shopping and historic sites. But the best part was the private little courtyard. Spent hours sitting outside chatting with our family, from coffee in the morning to late night cocktails. Highly recommend.

Great location for a girls weekend. It was so convenient to have an off street parking spot right by the front door. We also loved the courtyard to sit outside and have coffee in the morning. Would rent again.

Charming, perfectly-sized home, with every amenity. The home has a “secret garden” feel, as it is tucked away from the street, and fronted by a charming, cobblestone patio.....The home lacked for nothing, and was within easy walking distance of restaurants & shopping.....Very nice property.

This beautiful cottage was the perfect setting for our family to enjoy our wedding weekend. It is a great location and comfortable in every possible way. Other families stayed in the same location, St. Philip Square so it made for a great time with all of us so close to each other, walking back and forth and planning our events. We hope to stay with you again soon!
